The Five People I’ve Never Met that I’d Invite to my Backyard Barbecue

There’s snow on the ground … and it’s almost May! ( I thought Calgary had nice weather? ) Anyways, I have been thinking about barbecueing – So I thought I’d let you know who the Five People I’ve Never Met that I’d Invite to my Backyard Barbecue.

Andy Stanley - He’s a speaker and an author that I have learned many things from.  I think I’d enjoy him because he seems to be very honest, sincere and has a funny personality.  I also think he’s tall – which is an added bonus.

Denzel Washington – A great actor.  I don’t always appreciate his movies but I do appreciate his ability to adapt to any role.  There’s something about him that intrigues me.  He would be great to have at the barbecue.

John Wooden – A genius basketball coach who has influenced thousands of coaches who have followed him.  He coached the UCLA bruins for many years and now is probably in his 90’s.  I have always admired his leadership thoughts and his ability to get the best out of the men on his team.

Glenn Beck - A T.V./Radio personality I watch on CNN Headline News.  The guy is informative and funny – he’d keep the conversation going.

Carrie Underwood – I know … a girl.  I’m thinking that my wife would also be at this barbecue and she would really enjoy spending time with another girl.  Plus, I do like her music and she could sing in the background if we all get bored.
